🔴 Review of Reviews

🔴 Review of Reviews

Nothing bothers me more than snarky reviews. Or reviews that seem intended to show how knowledgable the reviewer is rather than tell me something insightful about the show. So I thought I’d turn the tables and review the reviewers. I found all The Blacklist season finale [2:22 Tom Connolly] reviews that showed up on the my first two Google pages and graded them for how helpful and insightful I thought they were.

Maybe even more useful, I took at look at their internet sites and graded those, too. Here, I was looking for functionality as well as for organization and interest.

🔴 Tom & the “Risk-Taking” Gene

🔴 Tom Keen and the “Risk-Taking” Gene

March 14, 2015

There is a genomic marker (SNP) sometimes called “the love gene” (GG variant for SNP rs53576) http://bit.ly/1wniMDR About 40% of Westerners have this variant. When combined with another gene (AA or AG for rs2254298) http://bit.ly/18nPCKM, what results, for males who grew up in non-nurturing early childhood environments, is a higher likelihood that a person will develop psychiatric disorders AND/OR that he will be a risk-taker. Both “genes” or SNPs are located on the Oxytocin molecule. The psychiatric disorders include depression, borderline personality, sociopathy and psychopathy.

🔴 Fathomless Eyes: Neurobiology of the Gaze

“Love pierces the heart through the gaze of the eyes”

I can’t stop looking at James Spader’s face. I’ve noticed I am not alone in this… It’s as though there were 1000 masks, each one capturing *perfectly* an emotion you didn’t even know existed but that you instantly recognize, and he moves flawlessly from one to the next, sometimes donning several in a second. There must be a name for what he does – micro-acting? I think I saw “close camera acting” somewhere. Anyway, he has nailed it. I am riveted.

FULCRUM: State Capitalism vs the Internet (2)

Link to Part 1: State Capitalism vs the Internet

The Fulcrum (possibly an acronym) could involve a Master Plan for world domination, already in play, including a list of people embedded at high levels in national governments (like Fitch). It could spoil the plan if revealed. (Maybe Hillary Clinton is behind it – lol!)⋙ The theory is based on the fact that the World Wide Web went live on December 25, 1990 [the day after Reddington disappeared].Earlier in 1990, the Internet was put into the public sphere by the Defense Department, which had developed it. There must have been grumbling about this.

FULCRUM: State Capitalism vs the Internet (1)

Something earth-shattering happened on 12/25/1990…

“Tim Berners-Lee [creator of the World Wide Web] accessed the first Web page, on the first Web server, using the first Web browser on Christmas Day 1990.” – SciAm http://bit.ly/1yDRsyh Christmas Day – the day after Red Reddington disappeared. Earlier in the year, DARPA (the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) had ended its ARPAnet project, the Internet’s precursor. The technology was free. The Internet, “the killer app of all time,” was in the public sphere.
